This month I am reading a Newberry Honnor book. The books title is The Ear the Arm and the Eye. The author is Nancy Farmer. I choose this book because I had to get it for my extra school and it was a honnor book.

The book I am about to start reading is called Dolphin Song. It won a award in 2006. The authors name is Lauren St. John. My mom got me this book at a book store. I love to read about animals, I only read one chapter and I am in love with it! So far it is about a girl going on a field trip!I love dolphins so I can't wait to read this book!

The book i am reading is Ramona and her father by Beverly Clary. It won the newberry award. This book is really good so far. Ramona and her family are struggling because her father lost his job. Now her dad is smoking.Her sister, Beezus who thinks she is so smart said it would turn their father's lungs black, and now Ramona is putting signs all around the house to stop her dad from smoking. The signs are like NO SMOKING and MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE, DON'T SMOKE and so on. I think that you should look at this book and maybe recommend it to people who are looking for books. Also, at the beginning of the book Ramona said that her fathers payday is one of her favorite holidays because he brings home treats. On his payday he brings home a bag of gummy bears for her and beezus. Then they over hear him and he lost his job. They knew they are in for a struggle.

Are you easily scared of ghost and skeletons? Well then I would stay away from the book Deep and Dark and Dangerous. A ghost story by: Mary Downing Hahn. I chose this book because it is very close to Halloween, and a ghost story kind of fits the month. The reason I wanted to read a nominee because they come out more recently than an award winner. Another thing that made me chose Deep and Dark and Dangerous was the cover illustration. It has a picture of a girl in the Sycamore Lake; she is at the bottom of the lake her hair going all over the place. Well if you want to read a book that will knock your socks off, give you the creeps at night, and will get you in the mood for Halloween, well you should try Deep and Dark and Dangerous. If you ever read this book, I would read it around Halloween, because it is really getting me in the mood for Halloween.

I just finished reading the book Rules. It is written by Cythia Lord. I highly recamend this book. it is hallarous! It is about a girl that is just moving in with her uncle and the uncle has many rules! The dog in this book is really unque and so is the uncle.

The book I am reading won the Coretta Scott King Award and is nominated for the Sasquatch Reading Award. I chose this book because I read the descriptoin of it and I thought it sounded interesting.

I chose this book because I saw it when you were showing us all of the books that we could use for our book review. I remembered that I had at home so I decided to read it. I wanted to so I wouldn't hve to worry about it bieng over due or anything of the sort. This book wone the newberry honer award.

ReplyDeleteSorry!! Can you count this one as the grade?Hello! The title of the book I am reading is Ramona Quimby age 8. The author's name is Beverly Clearly. It is about a girl named Ramona that is in the third grade. This is the summary; Ramona Finds it hard to be a 3rd grader in the Quimby family and she tries her hardest. Her dad is going back to collage and her mom works so heer dad can do collage. When she goes to a nierboors house to be babysitted Danny always teases her. She trys her best to do it. XCan she do it? Will she complete the third grade? Who knows? That its why I am reading this book! I am really excited to finish it I have on;y read 10 pages!

The book I am reading for the award winner book is the Candy Shop War. By Brandon Mull. The award the Cnady Shop War won is the Young Readers Choice Award. I chose this book because I thought it looked interesting and I wondered what was the candy shop war was. I am halfway through the book and I can't put it down.

The book I am reading is called My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George. This book won a Newberry Honor Award. I chose this book because I have read other books by the same author and thought My Side of the Mountain might be just as good. Also, because my brother has read it and recommended it to me.

This month, I am reading the book Ella Enchanted. Ella enchanted has won a Newberry honor award and the reason I chose to read this book is because it sounded very interesting and like the kind of book I would enjoy. I have never seen the movie before so I wanted to read the book first. I am already half way through the book. It is great so far and contains alot of the action and suspense that makes me want to keep reading.This book is about a fifteen year old girl who was bestowed with a curse like gift by Lucinda when she was a baby to be obediant. This may seem like a great thing, but if someone told her to cut of her own head, she would have to do it. Therefore, Ella is in constant danger of being told what to do. I defedentally reccomend Ella Enchanted to anyone who enjoys adventure and fantasy. Ella Enchanted is a fantastic book and I have really enjoyed reading it.

I chose to read From The Mixed Up Files Of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E. L. Konigsburg. This book has won a gold Newberry Medal. This is some of what the the back cover said. " Claudia knew she could never pull off the old-fashioned kind of running away... so she decided to run not from somewhere, but to somewhere-somewhere large, warm, comfortable, and beautiful. Together they form a secret world called Terabithia. There are monsters and magical creatures in this world. I loved this book from the start. Katie

This book is about 4 gifted children who are the only ones who have passed a series of tests and come to dicover that they are the only ones who can save the world from a man named Ledroptha Curtain. This book is a nomminee for the 2010 newberry award. I chose this book because I like to read books with suspense, mysteries, and action. I also like the style of the author and might even do another of his books for another months book report.

I'm reading a great book called The Candy Shop War! it is about 4 kids who have a club and are really good frinds. On day they go so a shop called the Sweat Tooth Candy and Iceacream Shop. The lady who owns the shop has majic candy and is willing to give the kids some. The have jobs to do if they want the majic candy. I chose this book because it looked interesting

I read a book called A Million Ways to Live. The author is named Savannah Williams. It is about a girl that is about 13 years old and she has luchemea. This girls name is Tarah. Tarah knowbns that she is not going to live much longer than a month, so she makes a list of things she wants to do. Her friend who is doing the smae thing dyes. She is know very sad but ashe dosen't give up! Tarah is know doing many things in her world, however she has to go back to the hospatil to have another test. It fails and she will dye soon. Then a docter and a nurse who are in traning come in and give her a prodcedure and the next day Tarah is starting to dye. Something amazing happens. The nurse comes in and says that she will not dye, it turns out that the people who where in traing did the miricale. Tarah has now lived! I just finished the book and I could never stop, there was NO good stopping point! I hope you cahn read this book too!This book is about her younger sister who is still living even though she could have died!

It is about a girl that is eleven or twelve and wants or is a scientist.When she went to school one day she saw the means girls the CATT club teasinf a new girl they called herClad. She did not like it at all. So the next day the same thing happened. Then Haley and Red walked up and told the CATT club to go away. And they did. They figured out that her name was Cladia thats why they called her Clad! She loves to fix all problems. She was sent to the principals office for putting Vegtitable Oil on the slide. She did it to make it have more friction, brcause it was not slippery so none went on it. When she saw boys go on the slide they slipped on the oil and the recess teacher was watching so she and her two friends Red and Cladia went to Mr. Craft's office.

The book that I read was Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff kinney. The book that I read was nominee but I do not know what nominee it got. I choose Diary of a Wimpy Kid because I read the book before and because it is funny and has lots of details.
